I would say that I love how you humanized your AI system, but it just sent me into a 30 minute deep dive into the Expanse wiki and the technical specs of the Rocinante which led to another 15 minute dive into Don Quixote and the literary comparison to Holden and Miller.
I haven’t gotten to the point of naming the different parts of my AI system. I’m still getting to know them and understand what they can do. But I’m having such a similar experience as you are where AI is bridging the gaps in how my mind works and allowing my thoughts to flow and progress in many directions at once.
I really relate to “talking in circles” as “iterations” where you continue to improve your thinking and people glazing over listening. When my wife says I’m spending too much time talking to AI, I show her what I’m talking about and ask “would you rather I talk about this with you?” She laughs and says “carry on”. 🤣
Well as long as you're diving into The Expanse, here's some other references that I haven't touched on too much. My Mac mini, where I do remote builds, I refer to as Tycho Station. the MCP that I created to do SSH to talk to that machine I refer to as Tight Beam. And I have an investigative learning loop that I run at the end of my chats, aggregate weekly, and I started referring to that as the Miller Loop.
That's excellent! I was drawn to your article (and the one before this one) this morning because I was writing something similar about my AI setup. But then you were talking sci-fi and I was completely sucked in! You named your crew very thoughtfully. Mine are nameless because I am no engineer, I just talk to them until they fit. More like a Pakled if you get that reference ("just make it go"). 🤣
