I’m Eddy Simmons.

Systems thinker by wiring. Lifelong optimizer. Can’t help it.

I spent decades building systems that made other people successful, while raising four daughters and carrying more than most people would ever suspect.

What I eventually figured out is that the same approach works on almost everything. Build the system, follow it when you don’t feel like it, don’t quit when it gets hard. It rebuilt my health. It held my head together through stretches that should have taken me apart. Now I point it at my own work instead of everyone else’s.

I take what’s complicated and make it uncomplicated, then try to be useful with it. I leave the messy parts in, because someone out there needs to see it’s okay.

This newsletter is what I learned. Mental resilience. AI productivity. Systems thinking. Physical performance. All of it connected. All of it tested on myself first.

A room full of leaders once assigned me a superlative: “Most likely to write a self-help book called I Tried Everything So You Don’t Have To.”

They were almost right. I created this newsletter instead.

Personal views. Not my company’s. Not my dog’s. Mine.
